Herbs recommended for Asthma


  • Ginkgo biloba : This natural asthma remedy opens breathing passages & is effective against exercise induced asthma. Dose: 40 mgs extract, 3x daily for 6 - 8 weeks.
  • matricaria (German Chamomile) : calms & supports lungs. Use tincture or drink chamomile tea as needed.
  • Coffee/Tea It takes 2 - 3 cups of coffee to produce effect so do so in event of emergency
  • Astragalus : boosts the immune system & aids lung functioning.
  • Garlic/onion : can be eaten freely & frequently to help asthmatics. You can also take supplement, take as directed & make sure product has at least 5,000 mcgs per daily dose.
  • Phosphorus : increases oxygen uptake & supports respiratory system.
  • Reishi mushroom : is used in Chinese medicine to reduce allergies, treat asthma & strengthen immune system. Dose: five, 420 mg capsules or three, 1000 mg tablets daily.
  • Turmeric : is a main ingredient in curry, appears to help asthmatics breath better. Just enjoy lots of curried dishes, the only side effect is delicious foods.
